I found this gorgeous, awe-inspiring video of the home of iconic master designer Finn Julhs, now a museum, at TYYLIT a beautiful online magazine. The video features a wonderful tour of his incredibly gorgeous personal style and the beautiful music of Swedish pianist Jan Johansson.

And here it is … the most gorgeous, bright, airy, vintage rustic modern dining room of all (at least until later today when I see more, more, more beautiful interiors photos!) It’s warm, fuzzy, clean-lined and sunny. That table is massively spectacular, and the art is perfect. Love the high, beamed ceilings with white walls and a fireplace! Inspiration, right!?! Enjoy your week!

It’s Friday, so here goes a little vintage modern inspiration for your weekend hunting! Bold and beautiful graphic design, a clean staple of style. A 1969 Calder painting (above), vintage barware, succinct color and form throughout a room, or did I mention art! MIX it up and make it yours, and enjoy your weekend!

Lucky that I know Brenna, the master gardener from B.B.Barnes, here in Asheville. She created new flower beds and is working on new hanging baskets for outside of the shop for fall and winter. This is a detail of the beautiful flora she chose for MIX; kale, heather and St. John’s Wart, along with some pansies and violas, too. Berries, juniper and eucalyptus indoors for a luscious scent! ‘Tis the season, yum!
Just some sundry Sunday spaces for your viewing pleasure today. Love these muted colors, the rusty rose tone, the industrial and rustic modern vibe, and the atmosphere they create. A little inspiration to wind down the weekend! Enjoy!

There’s a combination of a particular (peculiar?) green with gray that just puts me at ease. “That” green with a gray base, or gray next to that certain green tone. Even if I can’t really describe it, it’s here in these spaces and places. Hope they mesmerize and inspire you, too!

Ancient French stone and hand hewn beams, working vineyard on a wildflower hill, spaces layered with vintage modern luxe. If all these elements plus red in all its subtle and vibrant hues knock you out, then seeing this wine-stain red chateau in France should make your day. Stop by the shop this weekend to see a million shades of red in handmade pillows and vintage rugs that will transport you and your space directly to this beautiful French chateau!

The Italian Dimore Studio has to be one of the most inspired, inspiring and talented design houses in the world, IMHO. I’ve previously posted this Milanese Palazzo that the Studio uses as a place to house collected projects, and to curate their collection from around the globe, but these are photos I had not seen. They call it “a container for contemporary life”. This collection just breathes the beauty that vintage modern is. The kitchen (after the jump) being the piece de la resistance. Enjoy, the weekend is almost here! (Reblogged from Yellowtrace.)
