I have one (one SOLD) of these pretty robe chests, handpainted in tomatoe-red with gold exotic flowers and birds. They are made from parchment covered wood. Both are beautifully worn, and have a couple small spots of paint loss. They offer such a bright and fresh storage solution. Please note they smell of mothballs.

This vintage trunk is a great denim blue with chunky iron hardware and the original “Kansas City Trunk Co.” tag. The original interior is intact, and as you can see, it’s lovely. Perfect for a coffee table or side table with extra storage. The leather handles on each end are long gone, but not a problem unless you are looking for a vintage steamer trunk to travel with!

Vintage Chinese Hand-carved Camphor Chest

MIX Vintage Chinese Handcarved Camphor Chest

$695 $895

The beautiful, old, hand-carved Chinese chest is made of camphor wood, with a brass latch and cedar lining. The carvings are understated and gorgeous, as is the color. There is a great story that comes with this chest. It was purchased by an airman stationed in occupied Japan in 1947. The chest was a Japanese war prize, taken from China by the Japanese. The chest shows it’s age in 2 spots of crazing on the top of the chest. Overall it is wonderfully detailed, understated, sturdy and offers terrific storage space.
