Minimalist and modernist, mid-century Charles Eames chaise in black leather for Herman Miller, designed in 1968 for filmmaker Billy Wilder. This is an early production Eames chaise with black leather cushions on a black die-cast aluminum frame. The chaise features 6 seat cushions that attach to each other by flexible zippers and 2 loose cushions for head and knees (or anywhere you would like). The cushions attach to the frame by snaps at each end. The leather cushions are in beautiful, supple condition; the chaise sling support shows normal age-related wear. This gorgeous chaise is streamlined and slim by design. The width of the frame (not including the cushions) is 16.75 inches.
